ANNOUNCEMENT OF THE UWI MONA GRADUATION CEREMONIES 2022

The UWI Mona congratulates the entire Graduating Class of 2022. Despite all the challenges faced on your journey, you made it and we celebrate with you and are extremely proud of your success.

As the world transitions out of the acute COVID-19 phase, we have begun to see the light at the end of the pandemic. It is against this background, that The UWI Mona is happy to announce the reintroduction of face-to-face graduation ceremonies.

The UWI Mona’s 2022 graduation ceremonies will take place on campus from November 3 to November 5, 2022. See below order of ceremonies and take special note of the presentation of graduates according to Faculties and Institutes:

Thursday, November 3, 2022, 4:00 P.M.

  • Faculty of Medical Sciences

Friday, November 4, 10:00 A.M.

  • Faculty of Engineering
  • Faculty of Science & Technology
  • Faculty of Sport
  • Institute for Gender and Development Studies

Friday, November 4, 4:00 P.M.

  • Faculty of Social Sciences (Except MSBM)

Saturday, November 5, 10:00 A.M.

  • Faculty of Law
  • Faculty of Humanities & Education

Saturday, November 5, 4:00 P.M.

  • Faculty of Social Sciences – (MSBM ONLY)

Graduation Rehearsals

Graduation rehearsals will be held on Tuesday November 1, 2022 at 3:00 P.M. at The UWI Mona Campus in the Graduation Tent. All graduates are expected to attend.

Number of Guests Allowed at the Graduation Ceremonies

Given the importance of graduation to you and your loved ones, the Campus will allow each graduate attending the ceremony to be accompanied by a maximum of three (3) guests. Please note however, that in the event that there are adjustments made to the health and safety restrictions in Jamaica, this allowance is subject to change.

Graduation Portraits

Graduation portraits will be facilitated at the Graduation One Stop Centre as follows:

  • The UWI Mona Western Jamaica Campus on October 22 and 23, 2022
  • The UWI Mona Campus (Assembly Hall) from October 24, 2022 to October 31, 2022

More details concerning the graduation ceremonies, and the graduation ‘One Stop Centre’ will be shared in future communique.
