The Caribbean has a rich cultural heritage expressed through the visual and performing arts. The late Michael Campbell, businessman, philanthropist and collector had a deep appreciation for the magnitude of this cultural heritage. On Thursday, January 11, 2024, the avid collector's impressive private art collection of 261 Jamaican artworks spanning over four decades was handed over to The UWI Mona. This fulfilled his wish to formalize The UWI Mona as administrator of his treasured US$2.3M collection.
