Dining FAQs

All food establishments and dining facilities are required to adhere to the Government of Jamaica’s covid-19 protocols as well as campus guidelines to safeguard members of our community. Grab ‘N Go options and outdoor dining is our preference here on campus. There is limited seating for areas with indoor dining only. We ask that all members of the campus community strictly adhere to the health and safety protocols. 

It is recommended to utilize food delivery services if ill or in quarantine. If seriously ill, please notify your Student Services and Development Manager or Resident Advisor so that assistance can be provided.

No, there is no meal plan option.

While there are varying price ranges for meals on campus, we do understand that food insecurity exists for some as these students may not be able to access daily nutritious meals. The Office of Student Financing (OSF) provides support to students in need by way of meal cards. Meal cards can be used at approved concessionaires on campus to offset the purchase of meals only. The Guild Council also provides support to students in need through the Grace Kennedy Foundation Campus Connect Food Bank. 

Yes, these options can be found mainly at cafeteria locations. You may however, access a wider variety from nearby locations via local food delivery apps.

Yes, both our locations in Kingston and Montego-Bay offer extensive dining options in close proximity to the campus, where both local and international cuisine can be accessed. There are also numerous food delivery services that deliver food on campus from numerous locations within the city. Your meals are just an order away through one of the many local apps.

Yes. There is the Hi-Lo supermarket located on campus at the Students’ Union.

No. Students and staff have access to all dining facilities on Campus.

No. Most options close by 10 pm when there is a high volume of traffic on campus, and close earlier during slower periods like in the summer or because of curfew restrictions due to the covid-19 pandemic.
